Overview
This policy explains how the imcore website (balala.im) and online demo (demo.balala.im) handle visitor information. It does not cover imcore instances you self-host — see the next section.
Data in the self-hosted product
imcore is delivered as binaries and deployed on your own servers/network. Your end users' messages and personal data live entirely in your infrastructure; you are the data controller for that data. imcore (the vendor) does not access, store, or process it.
What we collect
Website: server access logs (IP, user agent, timestamp, for security/operations), strictly necessary functional cookies, and cookieless self-hosted analytics for traffic and conversion measurement (see "Third parties"). Online demo: a transient guest identity and session data issued for the demo. Project enquiries: the name, company, contact details, deployment scale and inquiry content you voluntarily send through our form, email, WeChat or WhatsApp.
How we use it
To respond to your inquiries and to operate and secure the website and demo. We do not sell your personal information.
Third parties
The website and demo are hosted on our own servers behind a reverse proxy with HTTPS. Analytics run on a self-hosted Umami instance (umami.balala.im) on our own infrastructure: no analytics cookies and no cross-site tracking — only aggregated page views and click events, and the data never leaves our servers. The tracking script honors your browser's Do Not Track (DNT) setting — visitors with DNT enabled are not counted; you can also block the script with a content blocker, and the site remains fully usable. Beyond what hosting requires, we do not share visitor personal information with third parties.
Retention
Access logs are kept for a limited period as needed for operations; demo data is transient and cleared periodically; project enquiry records are kept until the opportunity or customer relationship closes, or as required by law.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting sales@balala.im.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
